Merry Christmas!

Every year about this time I'm kicking myself for not making Christmas cards to send out. But this year, something miraculous happened.... I actually did it!!! I made about 40 cards over the past 2 weeks. I will admit that I JUST mailed them out today though! Hopefully the USPS will cooperate with me and get my cards to their destinations before Christmas!

Since I couldn't possibly send cards to everyone I wanted to, most of you will get the virtual version!!!

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!!

ATC Swap

Just a quick post to share some ATC's I made for a swap.... Not sure why I tend to flock to browns and darker colors! I also made cute little envelopes for each of them so they don't get damaged in transit!!

Memorial Day Blog-Hop Inspiration

Words cannot adequately express my appreciation, admiration, and gratitude for the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for my freedom. The only way I can think of to thank them is by offering cards I make that have been inspired by other cardmakers that have the same heart I have for our military servicemen and women.

Operation Write Home is having their annual Memorial Day Blog Hop today with 146 Bloggers offering their inspirations!!! Start HERE to join the fun and maybe make some cards of your own along the way!!

I'm only on the 5th Blog which belongs to Donna at Donna Inks and I couldn't keep going without trying her tutorial!!

Now I'm off to try some more cards!!

Keepsake Frame

WOW!!! I can't believe I haven't posted in 6 months! I hope I still have some followers out there!!!

I've been busy doing everything but crafting for a while, but I feel like I got my mojo back... Hopefully my schedule will permit me to keep on it for a while!

I made this Keepsake Frame for one of the sweetest little girls I know! Got the idea from the most recent CTMH catalog and I've been antsy to try it!!

It's pretty self explanatory.... you can use just about anything in your stash to embellish and personalize a frame!! I used an 8x10 on this one but I also have some smaller frames I'm going to make some more gifts out of.

I really like how the flowers and butterflies pop against the dark background....

And no project is complete without a little bling and ribbon!

I'd love to see what other ideas you come up with!

Thanks for hanging around... I appreciate you taking the time to visit my page!

Fall Mini Album

I have been SUPER busy lately... Babysitting my granddaughter, taking my girls to dance, high school football games for my son, started and finished a manicuring program and passed the State Board (YAAYYY!!), and of course, crafting!

I went to a scrapbook retreat in Murrieta called Scrap Diva Retreats that was just AMAZING!!! Not only did we scrap from the wee hours of the morning until way past sundown, but we also got some fun shopping in, too! You can join their Meet Up HERE and experience it for yourself!!

Scrapbook Corner opened just for us and gave us some REALLY good deals! Besides buying a Cricut Expression from none other than Cricut Dan, I also bought the new Mini Books cartridge to go with it!!

Here is my 1st project from the cart. It measures 8"x5"... Hang on, this is a long one!!

As you can see, these next pages are layered in different sizes so I'm showing each turned page....

... and finally....
... with a tag inside....

Most of my book is pretty self-explanatory. I used my Cricut for some of the diecuts, the Autumn Melody Matstack from DCWV along with some various scraps of other DPs, solids, ribbon, stamps, ink and embellishments from my never-ending stash! I didn't have any journaling paper so I used index cards, inked them with a sponge dauber and traced the lines with a SU orange marker!

My goal is to use this for pictures from our Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's house... We'll see how far I get!!
