Absent But Not Forgotten!

I know... I know... I haven't posted in over a month!! But not because I'm not crafting... That is NEVER the case! I just haven't taken pics of my work, but please be patient with me! We have had a crazy summer and these kids are running me ragged, but I will be posting some really cute things SOON!!!

Birdhouse

The MeetUp group that I belong to did a class not too long ago where they decorated these cute little birdhouses.  Of course I missed that one, so I had to come up with something on my own so I didn't feel left out!! I bought the wooden house at JoAnn's for $1 and used my own patterned paper, punches, flowers, buttons (CTMH) and tiny pearls...

Thanks for stopping by! Please take a moment to leave a comment!!

My 1st ATC's

I just joined a new ATC group, ATC TradinLadyz, with some of my ScrappinLadyz friends. In case you don't know, ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards. They are 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" (like baseball trading cards) but are original, self-produced cards meant ONLY for trading. You can find out more by Googling ATC or Artist Trading Cards.

My 1st MeetUp is in a couple weeks and is a Summer theme. I started with this cute little Popsicle that I CASE'd from Paper Smooches. (She used a Popsicle stamp, but I had to improvise since I don't have one)...

and ended up with this...

I used a sponge to make the clouds and sand, a couple different Cricut cartridges for the Popsicle shape and waves, little black pearls for the eyes, and SU markers. I also gave the sun and Popsicle a little dimension with PopDots. Not sure if you can see it, but the ball says "stay Cool!"

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!!

Shop Hopping in Phoenix

This weekend we decided to leave our beautiful Southern California weather and spend some time in the HOTTEST city we could find.... Phoenix!!! I believe the average for the last couple days was about 110 degrees.... Talk about 'hard to breathe'!!!
Anyway, since I can't make cards while I'm here, I put out an APB on the OWH FB page for scrapbook stores in the area. Some very lovely ladies recommended 2 stores that I absolutely fell in love with... Scrapbooks, Etc., and Scrapbook Barn! I didn't get carried away, but did give in to the paper section!

I'm so excited to get home and use the Patriotic paper on some Any Hero Cards!!!

And this is the REAL reason we came to visit....
These kids can't get enough of each other!! Minimal arguments and LOTS of laughing and screaming!!!

If time permits, I'm going to try to hit up a couple more stores before we leave tomorrow night!!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend as much as we are!!

More Than Just A Flip-Flop!

Okay... I know I've probably said this before, but this is my new all-time favorite project!!

My Meet Up group, Scrappinladyz, has SO many classes that I couldn't possibly go to all of them, but I am soooo glad I made it to this last one! We made a Flip-Flop photo album out of a real flip-flop! The pages were traced to fit the flip-flop and the embellishments were all picked out for us, so other than fitting the torn patterned papers and making them fit right, there was little thinking involved on my part! We made a beach theme, but the possibilities are endless as far as other ways of decorating these!!

There are actually 5 pages and room for 13 small pictures.... a perfect gift for any occasion!!

Also, did you notice my Blog has had a facelift??? What do you think????

As always, thanks for stopping by!!
